Oversees enterprise storage, and backup, including storage network (SAN) design, engineering and operations. Provides full support for the current and future SAN / NAS, backup infrastructure and data center services.Leads and supervises activities to plan, design, build, install, and monitor block and NAS storage systems, SAN, cloud storage, backup and recovery, and related technologiesResponsible for the security of storage assets. Develops a systems security architecture, then directs the implementation and management of security solutions appropriate for that architectureDevelops deep understanding in technical domain and demonstrates thought leadership in emerging areasEnsures storage and backup components are operational and performing as designedOversees an on-call function to provide 24/7 response to critical issuesMaintains understanding in technical domain and demonstrates thought leadership in emerging areasMentors and develops the infrastructure team in accomplishing operational support dutiesEnsures all Backup and Relevant Storage Engineering Change, Release, Incident, Problem, Security, and Configuration Management processes, policies, operating plans, and mandates are followedShares regular reporting on status updates to senior managementCollaborates with external parties for IT procurement and vendor related IT issuesWorks with internal stakeholders (product team, senior management, etc.) which contribute to technical strategy and recommend industry best practicesMentors and guides staffManages the hiring and training of new and existing staff, conducts performance reviews, and provides leadership, technical guidance and coachingShares knowledge and develops staff capabilities to strengthen understanding of business issues and best practicesDevelops and communicates organizational objectives; inspires and motivates team members to achieve resultsPerforms other duties as assignedComplies with all policies and standardsEducation/Experience Requires a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of related experience. Or equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill reflective of the level of this position.Master's Degree preferredTechnical SkillsKnowledge of relational database design and architectural principles and methodologies, High Availability and Disaster Recovery options, VMware, Windows and Linux operating systems, file systems, SQL, MySQL, and Oracle databases, networking, fiber channel concepts and technologies, TCP/IP, DNSExperience with the management and implementation of backup and associated storage designsExperience with one or more of the following Networker, IBM Storage Protect, Veeam and Veeam for M365, Commvault, or other backup softwareSoft SkillsAbility to lead/manage othersCollaboration and team building skillsEffectively coaches and delivers constructive feedbackInstills commitment to organizational goalsAbility to communicate and make recommendations to upper managementEffective conflict management skillsDevelops and delivers effective presentationsDemonstrated negotiation skillsPay Range $102,900.00 - $190,500.00 per yearCentene offers a comprehensive benefits package including competitive pay, health insurance, 401K and stock purchase plans, tuition reimbursement, paid time off plus holidays, and a flexible approach to work with remote, hybrid, field or office work schedules. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law, including full-time or part-time status. Total compensation may also include additional forms of incentives.
