Litigation ParalegalPosition OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to support a busy civil litigation practice with emphasis on mass tort, medical malpractice, and personal injury matters. The Litigation Paralegal will manage case files from intake through trial and appeal, coordinate discovery and filing procedures, prepare pleadings and correspondence, and provide calendar and trial support. This role requires excellent organization, strong knowledge of litigation processes and legal terminology, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesManage a litigation caseload including mass tort, medical malpractice, and personal injury files from intake through disposition.Prepare, format, and file court pleadings, motions, notices and other legal documents, including electronic court filing (e-filing) and adherence to local filing procedures and deadlines.Coordinate and manage discovery: draft and respond to interrogatories, requests for production, requests for admission, and organize document productions.Support trial preparation and litigation strategy: prepare trial notebooks, exhibits, witness lists, subpoenas, and assist attorneys during trials and depositions.Schedule and calendar court dates, depositions, mediations, client meetings, and internal deadlines using firm calendaring systems; monitor statute of limitations and other critical timelines.Communicate regularly with clients, opposing counsel, court clerks, medical providers, and expert witnesses to obtain records, coordinate evaluations, and exchange information.Summarize medical records, deposition transcripts, and other evidence; analyze and extract key facts to support case preparation and settlement evaluation.Maintain and organize case files and databases, ensure accurate docketing, and track case-related expenses and vendor billing.Assist with settlement documentation, demand packages, lien resolution, and closing files after resolution.Implement and maintain document management and litigation support tools, including Bates-stamping, redaction, and use of e-discovery platforms where applicable.QualificationsParalegal certificate, associate degree, or bachelors degree preferred; certification from an accredited paralegal program a plus.1+ years of litigation paralegal experience, preferably with exposure to mass tort, medical malpractice, and personal injury cases.Strong knowledge of litigation terminology, court rules, filing procedures, and civil procedure (state and federal).Experience with e-filing systems, case management software, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), and PDF/document management tools; familiarity with e-discovery platforms a plus.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to draft legal documents, correspondence, and clear case summaries.Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing priorities and strict deadlines in a high-volume practice.Comfortable working in a team environment and independently; professional demeanor when interacting with clients, courts, and vendors.Ability to review and summarize medical records and interpret medical terminology; prior experience in medical malpractice and personal injury preferred.Benefits" 401(k) Employer Price Matching" Health insurance - PPO" Vision insurance
