Breakfast Attendant
ROLE SUMMARY: The Lloyd Hotel in Stamford is looking for a Breakfast Attendant to provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive reputation for the thriving hotel!ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES: Welcoming and sitting diners comfortably in the dining section Taking customers’ food and drink orders Memorizing the menu and recommend appetizers, meals and drinks from restaurant wine stock Delivering a memorable dining experience by resolving all customer issues promptly Assisting with the tidying of tables, clearing leftovers and keeping the cafe area neat and pleasant Ensuring utensils and bar area are cleaned after closing to comply with state regulations Taking food and beverage orders and accurately entering them into the ordering system Making menu item recommendations Ensuring all orders are filled quickly and accurately and that food is high quality Providing attentive service to diners, like refilling drinks as needed and checking in on their needs Promptly addressing any customer service issues and referring to management if and when necessary Performing some cleaning duties, such as at the service station and around the kitchen ROLE REQUIREMENTS Available to work only AM shifts, 5:45am-11:30am, 10 -12 hours per week based on hotel needs Excellent customer service, including patience and a friendly demeanor Exceptional organization and time management Effective written and verbal communication skills Great active listening skills Ability and willingness to collaborate Knowledge of foodservice regulations and proper food handling procedures Capability to learn quickly and memorize menu details Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Willing to work flexible work schedules that include weekends Physically able to be on their feet for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds unassisted
