The company values punctuality, accountability, and a collaborative approach on every job site.Role Description The Carpenter Helper will support lead carpenters with day-to-day remodeling tasks on-site in Glen Allen, VA. This part-time role includes assisting with material handling, job site preparation and cleanup, and basic carpentry tasks under supervision. Responsibilities include safely operating hand and power tools, helping with framing and installation, and supporting finish work such as trim and fixtures. The Carpenter Helper will follow safety guidelines, maintain a clean and organized work area, and help ensure projects are completed on time and to quality standards. The role requires collaboration with the crew, following instructions accurately, and representing the company professionally at all times.Qualifications Foundational carpentry skills and an interest in learning advanced Carpentry and Framing techniques.Ability to safely use and maintain Hand Tools (e.g., hammers, tape measures, levels, chisels) for basic construction tasks.Experience or comfort working with Power Tools (e.g., drills, saws, sanders) while following all safety procedures.Basic exposure to or willingness to learn Finish Carpentry, including trim, molding, and detail-oriented installation work.Ability to lift and carry materials, stand for extended periods, and perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions.Strong attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to follow directions and work as part of a team.Commitment to job site safety, punctuality, and professional conduct with clients and coworkers.Previous construction or remodeling experience is preferred but not required; a valid driver’s license and dependable transportation are a plus.
