Entry Level Accountant/Bookkeeper

Geneva Technologies Inc. (GTI) is seeking a detail-oriented, motivated, Entry Level Accountant / Bookkeeper to become an integral part of our aerospace engineering team! This broad based position demands intellectual curiosity and offers an excellent opportunity to develop accounting skills in a government / commercial environment, under the direction of a CPA. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of core financial concepts, accounting/business software, and regulatory standards. This position is perfect for individuals eager to expand their expertise supporting a non-traditional defense contractor with solid accounting skills. Responsibilities Assist in the review of financial statements in accordance with GAAP Perform account reconciliations including credit card, bank, and subsidiary accounts Support accounts payable and receivable processes Monitor and review journal entries accurately, ensuring proper debits & credits are applied Support month-end and year-end closing activities Support cash flow analysis and assist with budgeting and forecasting tasks Qualifications Intellectual curiosity & strong attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment Effective communication skills for internal and external reporting and interpretation Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and report generation, Smartsheets is a plus Strong understanding of GAAP, financial concepts, and regulatory reporting standards, government accounting and experience is a plus Experience with financial statement preparation and account reconciliation Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks Ability to interpret financial reports and assist with financial analysis Familiarity with tax, payroll processing, auditing procedures, and financial management principles Benefits: 401(k) matching Dental insurance Disability insurance Flexible spending account Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Tuition reimbursement Vision insurance Work Location: On-Site Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year Benefits: 401(k) matching Dental insurance Disability insurance Flexible spending account Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Tuition reimbursement Vision insurance Work Location: In person
