Job DetailsJob ID: 5662291Job DescriptionThe NYS HELPS (Hiring for Emergency Limited placement Program Statewide) is a NYS program that allows civil service agencies to hire qualified permanent employees quickly and without requiring them to take a competitive civil service exam. It was created to help agencies fill critical vacancies by streamlining the appointment process, though candidates must still meet all other minimum qualifications for the job.40 hours per weekInitial hours of assignment: Mon-Fri: 6:30am - 3:00pm12 months per school yearDuties:Responsible for scheduling, supervising, evaluating employees.Participate in cleaning and maintenance activities.Building inspections.Qualifications:Graduation from High School or Vocational school or possession of a High School equivalency diploma and three (3) years experience in commercial cleaning practices or general building maintenance, which includes experience in the Carpentry, Electrical, HV & AC Systems and Plumbing trades, one (1) year of which was in a responsible supervisory capacity; ORSeven (7) years of experience in commercial cleaning practices or general building maintenance, which includes experience in the Carpentry, Electrical, HV & AC Systems and Plumbing trades, one (1) year of which was in a responsible supervisory capacity; ORAn equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (A) and (B).
