Our customers and community members know that they can rely on us for Legendary Service and quality products.Duties And ResponsibilitiesEstablish and maintains professional relationships with customersCommunicates with wide number of customers in Residential Construction industry, and helps to sell and manages the timely flow of building materials to their jobsiteExpertly uses, promotes & facilitates PARR Bridge StrategyProactively set, reach for, and meet (or exceed) personal sales and profit goalsPrimary player in deepening customer relationship and scheduling timely material shipments ensuring account profitability as well as customer satisfaction & loyaltyAbility to sell on overall quality, value, and service, rather than pricePrecisely and efficiently manage one's time and prioritize workflow in face paced environmentCommunicates with dispatch to ensure that they are not overpromising deliveries to customersSends pictures of returns to dispatch with request for pickupMaintains customer profiles in Outlook or CRM to include full name, company name, title, office number, cell number, email, and matrixFollows best practices in order entry, setting up deliveries and all aspects of jobWalks customer to product in storeIntroduces himself/herself to customer and uses customer's name when possibleManages their open orders to ensure orders are being invoiced in a timely manner or deletedTakes action to achieve objectives; does not wait for management directiveUses DDMS to ensure customer satisfactionFollows SPC guidelines and proper GP%Completes PO's on time, confirms confirmation and ties PO to orderGreets walk-in customers professionallyAnswers phone promptly with professional greetingIdentifies customer's urgency and completes orders quicklySeeks to learn products and their application for the end userConfirms customer's material needs prior to ordering productExceeds profitable SPC pricing guidelinesCompletes quotes and follows up in a timely mannerProactive with customer's needsMaintains a PARR share file for customer plans and take-offsHas a high level of follow-through with orders ensures inventory arrives, communicates with customers, etc. Perform other related duties as assignedQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED equivalent2 years sales experience preferredPrior experience in the building materials industry preferredClass C driver's license and must have and maintain a good driving record requiredMust be able to operate personal computer, smartphone, scanner, and any other equipment necessary for the jobMust be able to type 30+ WPMProficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and OutlookAbility to speak, write, and read English requiredKnowledge of building materials and their usesProven ability to develop relationships that translate into new business for PLCAbility to execute PARR selling strategies and initiatives Knowledge of PARR purchasing principles, practices, and protocolsAbility to aggressively pursue company's best interest when selling to customersAbility to be flexible and adaptable to daily changing needs of customers and PLCBeing prepared for individual and group sales meetingsAbility to meet or exceed aggressive sales goalsAbility to concentrate and attend to detail amidst a busy office environmentWillingness to share department responsibilities in order to meet deadlinesShoes that are puncture resistant, slip resistant, and made of leather or composite material requiredInterpersonal SkillsAbility to work cordially, professionally, diplomatically and with a high level of customer service in a dynamic environmentDemonstrate sound judgment in dealing with sensitive business matters with internal and external customers of all typesMust maintain confidentiality and accuracy of all information related to company finances and records, particularly, cost of goods purchased and soldAbility and willingness to identify processes, tools and/or procedures that may be improved upon to improve the workplace and outcomes for our customersAbility to communicate with all levels of management and employees at a high skill level and speak effectively in front of groups.
