Title: Business Systems Analyst 3 (N-IT) Location: Vancouver, WA (Hybrid) Duration: 12-month Contract (with possible extensions up to 5 years) Pay Range: $69.03 – $72.26 per hour *** Candidates must be willing to work on our W-2. Due to federal contract requirements, only U.S. Citizens can be considered for this position. Need to work onsite 2 days per week at BPA's Vancouver, WA office. *** The role of the Business Systems Analyst is to Analyze science, engineering, business, and other data processing problems to implement and improve computer systems. Analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing systems and review computer system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations. May analyze or recommend commercially available software. Position Responsibilities: Expand or modify systems to serve new purposes or improve work flow. Test, maintain, and monitor computer programs and systems, including coordinating the installation of computer programs and systems. Develop, document and revise system design procedures, test procedures, and quality standards. Provide staff and users with assistance solving computer related problems, such as malfunctions and program problems. Review and analyze computer printouts and performance indicators to locate code problems, and correct errors by correcting codes. Consult with management to ensure agreement on system principles. Confer with clients regarding the nature of the information processing or computation needs a computer program is to address. Read manuals, periodicals, and technical reports to learn how to develop programs that meet staff and user requirements. Coordinate and link the computer systems within an organization to increase compatibility and so information can be shared. Determine computer software or hardware needed to set up or alter system Position Requirements: Education & Corresponding Experience A degree in Information Technology, Technical Management, Information Management, Engineering, Business Systems, Computer Science or a directly related technical discipline is preferred. 10 years of experience is required with an applicable Associate's degree. 8 years of experience is required with an applicable Bachelor's degree.12 years of experience is required without a degree.Experience should be consistent with the specific requirements of business systems analysis and progressively more technical in nature.Required Technical Skills & Experience Advanced knowledge of Visio and/or other flowchart tools. Expert proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Word.Utilizing requirements management tool. Expert knowledge in supporting full lifecycle of projects through the IT Systems Development Lifecycle Expert knowledge in IT planning, functional and technical specifications, and system life-cycle (SLC) management.Experience Supporting Requirements Development, to include: Conduct interviews and facilitate workshops to elicit business requirements Research, analyze, model and organize information for developing requirements Decompose high-level information and abstract up from low-level information to distinguish solution ideas from business needs Facilitate requirements validation sessions and present findings to stakeholdersCollaborate to resolve requirements conflicts between stakeholders Research, document, and validate current and future state processes and designs (functional and technical)Help define best approaches, alternatives, and decision frameworks for alternative business solutions analyses.Preferred Technical Skills & Experience Experience in organizational change management methods and tools.Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies Everest Consultants offers the following benefits for this position: medical, dental, & vision insurance, short-term disability, life and AD&D insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan, and a referral bonus program, paid sick/vacation/holidays, and a health and welfare fringe benefit.
