Community CoordinatorDepartment: AdminEmployment Type: Full TimeLocation: Sparta, MIReporting To: Melinda PepperCompensation: $18.00 - $20.00 / hourDescriptionSchedule: Full-Time | 30-32 Hours | Monday-Friday with flexible daytime hours to support work-life balance.Department: Affordable Housing | Harvest Way | Sparta, MIWhat You'll Do in This Role:In this role, you'll be at the heart of our community-ensuring day-to-day operations run smoothly while creating a welcoming, supportive environment for residents. You'll build strong relationships, respond to resident needs, and help maintain full occupancy by guiding the leasing process and connecting with prospective applicants. From coordinating resources to ensuring compliance with housing regulations, you'll play a key role in both operational success and resident satisfaction. Your work will directly impact the quality of life within the community while helping us meet our financial and service goals.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as the primary point of contact for residents, responding to needs, resolving concerns, and supporting a positive community environmentOversee day-to-day operations to ensure the community runs smoothly, safely, and in compliance with affordable housing regulationsManage leasing activity, including maintaining applicant pipelines, supporting the selection process, and working to achieve and sustain full occupancyBuild and maintain strong relationships with residents, prospective applicants, vendors, and internal teamsCoordinate and connect residents with community resources to support their needs and well-beingMaintain accurate records and reports, including lead management and occupancy trackingSupport financial processes, including communicating rent responsibilities and assisting with community financial performanceAssist with inspections, safety procedures, and compliance requirements at the federal, state, and local levelsRespond to urgent or emergency situations as neededProvide support to other affordable housing communities and teams as needed, ensuring consistency in operations and resident experience across locationsThe above is a summary of the position, it in no way states or implies that these are the only duties this position will be required to perform.
