System ArchitectAn established engineering services organization supporting federal and defense initiatives is seeking a System Architect to contribute to advanced modeling, analytics, and simulation efforts. This role focuses on Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) within a highly collaborative, mission-driven environment supporting national defense objectives. You will partner with multidisciplinary teams to design, develop, and maintain system architectures and authoritative engineering models used in complex intelligence and aerospace systems.Key Responsibilities:Develop and maintain system architecture models using MBSE methodologiesApply systems engineering principles to analyze and represent complex system-of-systems environmentsUtilize SysML to model system behavior, structure, and interactionsIntegrate system models and tools to support digital engineering environmentsAnalyze engineering and architecture data to identify solutions and improve system performanceCollaborate with engineers, developers, and stakeholders across technical teamsProduce and present technical documentation and modeling artifactsSupport the development of authoritative data sources for engineering decisionsRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related STEM fieldMinimum of 5 years of relevant experience in systems engineering or architectureStrong experience with SysML and MBSE tools (e.g., Cameo, MagicDraw, Rhapsody, Enterprise Architect)Ability to apply systems thinking to complex engineering challengesExperience working in collaborative, multi-disciplinary environmentsStrong written and verbal communication skillsActive TS/SCI security clearanceU.S. citizenship requiredPreferred Qualifications:Master's degree in an engineering disciplineIndustry certifications such as OCSMP, INCOSE CSEP, or PMPFamiliarity with SysML 2.0 and model migration from earlier versionsProgramming experience (Java, C++, Python)Knowledge of DoDAF, UAF, or similar architecture frameworksExperience with aerospace or defense systemsBackground in modeling and simulation tools and practicesKey Skills Required:Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)SysML Modeling & Architecture DesignSystems Thinking & AnalysisTechnical Communication & Documentation
