Senior Windows Engineer with Security Clearance
Overview The Senior Windows Engineer provides support and administration of the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Office of Information Technology (OIT) AD in a Windows Server distributed environment. ResponsibilitiesPerform Operating System (OS) tasks such as OS installation, upgrades, patches, fixes, testing, and troubleshootingProvide automation, continuous improvement recommendations, and implementation for all patching servicesPerform production control activities such as the support of cyclical changes to operational workloads, data administration, data compression, data restores, reorganization of files, recovery of systems, production of reports, download/upload of information, setup and verification of files and programsCreate and manage a routine Maintenance Window schedule that adheres to the USCIS Configuration Change and Release Management (CCRM) processPerform log reviews and server configuration changesCoordinate OS upgrades, patches, fixes, and testing with stakeholdersAnalyze data and provide recommendations to address application high availability issues and requirements. Qualifications Required:Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a similar Information Technology Field.A minimum of 10 years' experience in Windows engineering, specifically including:Analysis related to the design, development, and integration of hardware and software to support large-scale Windows environments with virtualization10 years' experience testing large-scale Windows environments.Experience performing a variety of engineering and operational-related assignments associated with Storage operations, backup operations, and virtualization software (VMware's vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V on a set of enterprise-level IT systems.10 years' experience writing scripts with a scripting language, with knowledge of ANSIBLEFamiliarity with DevOps and ITIL processesExperienced in AWS, AZURE, Google Cloud Services, and other Cloud environmentsPublic Trust Clearance Company Overview Integral partners with federal defense, intelligence, and civilian leaders to tackle their most important challenges and deliver positive outcomes.
