Position:
Hybrid Duration: Long Term The candidate will need to come on-site on the first day to collect equipment. All candidates must be local to the Triangle region of North Carolina. This position may require on‑site attendance when business needs warrant in‑person participation, such as scheduled meetings or other task‑specific activities.
Job Description:
NCDIT-Transportation is seeking an experienced Front End Web Designer/Developer to support UX design, front-end development, and maintenance of enterprise web applications and websites for NCDOT and NCDMV. The role focuses on building accessible, user-friendly web interfaces and ensuring a consistent user experience across enterprise platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain responsive and accessible web UI components.
Create and update UI prototypes, design systems, and component libraries.
Develop solutions using HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, and Vue.js.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure UI/UX consistency.
Integrate web applications with platforms such as SAP, ServiceNow, SharePoint, and Drupal.
Conduct accessibility testing and implement WCAG 2.2+ standards.
Deliver training sessions and webinars for business users.
Required Skills & Experience:
- JavaScript/TypeScript – 5+ years
- Vue.js – 3+ years
- State Management (Reactive Stores/Signals) – 4+ yearsWeb Accessibility & Testing (WCAG 2.2+) – 3–4+ years
- Semantic HTML, Modern CSS (Flexbox, Grid, Theming) – 5+ yearsUX Design – 3+ years
- Enterprise Integrations (SAP, ServiceNow, SharePoint, etc.) – 4+ yearsWeb Performance Optimization – 3+ yearsAI-assisted Development & Workflow Automation – 1+ year
Preferred Skills:
- Vite Build Tooling – 3+ years
