If you can energize a room full of 5-year-olds and inspire them to achieve, then you might be the perfect fit for us.This full-time role is based in one of these vibrant communities:Raleigh, NCCharlotte, NCOrange County (Lake Forest), CASan Francisco, CAIf you're ready to invest in kids as we do, we'd love to hear from you!What You Will Be DoingIn this role, you'll be:Guiding students through their 2-Hour Learning sessions, helping them set and achieve goals while effectively utilizing technology.Encouraging reading habits by reinforcing skills introduced by Reading Specialists.Fostering emotional regulation, resilience, and teamwork among students with a balance of structure and warmth.Monitoring and assessing student progress, identifying issues early, and collaborating with your team to adjust strategies as needed.Establishing a classroom environment that is structured yet playful and personal, akin to a high-expectation summer camp.What You Won’t Be DoingIn this role, you won't be:Conducting whole-class lessons from a whiteboard all day.Owning literacy instruction or crafting curriculum.Grading numerous papers or drafting extensive lesson plans.Working in a tech-free or joyless classroom.Managing behavior without understanding the child behind it.Learning Coach Key ResponsibilitiesEmpower young learners to develop the habits, confidence, and emotional resilience necessary to thrive within Alpha's dynamic, tech-driven educational model.Basic RequirementsAvailability for full-time, in-person work at one of our campus locations in Raleigh, NC; Charlotte, NC; Orange County, CA; or San Francisco, CA.A bachelor's degree in any discipline.Minimum of 3 years of experience working with children aged 4–8 in educational, afterschool, coaching, or similar settings.Proven ability to motivate and manage groups of young children with both structure and enthusiasm.Possess a growth mindset and willingness to be coached.Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.Nice-to-have RequirementsCertifications or training in early childhood educational models like CDA, Montessori, or Reggio Emilia.Experience in supporting reading instruction or collaborating with literacy specialists.Knowledge of adaptive learning technologies or personalized education tools.About AlphaWant to join a learning rebellion that’s transforming the traditional classroom?
