Its design incorporates extensive research into best practices in building and workplace design through extensive benchmarking of the world’s top academic, research, and corporate facilities.Learn More About What We Do In Houston Here.What role you will play in our teamThe Grease Product Development Expert role within Finished Lubricants Technology Organization calls for proactive thinking, idea generation,robust interpersonal skills, staying abreast of technological advancements, fostering strong industry connections, applying sound scientific principles, utilizing the latest research tools and technology, collaborating with global teams, occasional travel to engage with internal teams and external customers, proficiency in intellectual property matters, and awareness of environmental safety and regulatory standards.What You Will DoLead projects from product profile definition to commercial launch, including formulation, finalization and roll-out supportDevelop test plans, conduct analysis and review dataScreen new additive and base stock technologies utilizing bench scale and large scale test rigsLab-scale grease manufacturing and commercial scale-upConduct field trials collaborating with field engineers and customersIdentify intellectual property opportunitiesProvide regular project updates to relevant stakeholdersDetermine technical readiness for product releaseParticipate in global, cross-disciplinary and commercial operation teams to ensure smooth technology hand-off and product commercializationAdvance understanding of grease formulation fundamentals and lubricant applications research, understand and articulate technology trends, standards, customer requirements and competitive threatsWorking closely with Environmental Health and Safety SpecialistsParticipate in industry committees to help define technical specificationsCollaborate with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) on their requirements and approval testingDevelop reputation as a recognized expert within the company and the IndustryDocument project outcomes, capturing key learnings and future recommendationsGrease Formulation Development and DeploymentAbout YouSkills and QualificationsAt least 5 years of experience in grease formulation development and manufacturingUnderstanding of physical and chemical properties of lubricant base oils and thickeners, additives, and their impact on performanceUnderstanding grease manufacturing processes and optimizationUnderstanding of grease application knowledgeStrong foundation in statistical analysis, rheology, tribology, and project managementExcellent understanding of physical and chemical analytical techniquesAbility to work in multidisciplinary global teams (e.g. Technical, Sales, Operations and Marketing)Capable of technical investigation/problem solvingCapable of preparing project proposals and report writingBS/MS/PhD Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related disciplinePreferred Qualifications/ ExperienceKnowledge of mechanical systems in grease applicationsAbility to link molecular structure to product performanceUnderstanding in chemical synthesis and advanced molecular characterization toolsLeading third party contract research programsBasic knowledge in sustainability, data science and artificial intelligenceGrease field experience and trouble shootingYour BenefitsAn ExxonMobil career is one designed to last.
