Trailer Technician

Summary: A Trailer Technician is responsible for repairing customer equipment in a timely and efficient manner to maximize uptime for the customer. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: · Repair all systems on Semi-Trailers to meet DOT standards · Remove/replace brakes, brake drums, hubs, seals, bearings, and associated parts · Repair electrical/lighting systems · Repair/replace chassis components · Repair/replace flooring, rub rails, doors, and door trim · Repairs to roofs, panels, nose panels, upper and lower rails · Welding · All other duties as assigned Education, Skills and Knowledge Required: · High school diploma, GED or related work experience · Basic tool set · Power and hand tool experience required · Experience in repair and maintenance of semi-trailers preferred, but not required · Candidates with skilled trade experience from related fields are also encouraged to apply · Effective verbal and written communication skills Truck Country® / Stoops Freightliner-Western Star Offers: · Competitive Salary · Comprehensive Benefit Package · 401K Plan with Company Match · Mileage Reimbursement Truck Country® / Stoops Freightliner-Western Star is one of the largest Freightliner Western Star dealership groups in the U.S. today, serving customers at locations in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Ohio, Michigan, and Wisconsin.
