Senior Certification Engineer

Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in a related field6-10 years of experience working in an FAA certification environmentStrong familiarization with FAA Part 21, 23 & 25 and EASA CS Part 21 & 25 certification requirements related to airborne IFE equipment desiredIn-depth knowledge of Electrical/EMI test procedures, potential challenges and mitigation techniquesExperience with STC or TSO programs or FAA project coordinationStrong understanding of compliance documentation and report generationExposure to Boeing, Airbus, or FAA certification processes (any one is sufficient due to overlap)Familiarity with environmental, electrical, structural, or flammability requirements (strength in some areas acceptable)Experience reviewing test data, engineering reports, and compliance artifactsResponsibilities:Review engineering designs, data, and reports to ensure compliance with FAA, Boeing, and Airbus requirementsCreate and manage certification documentation (compliance reports, analysis, approvals)Validate that products meet airworthiness standards (not designing—verifying compliance)Interpret and apply regulatory requirements (FAA Part 21/23/25, STC/TSO frameworks)Work closely with internal teams and qualification/testing teams to ensure data supports certificationInterface directly with Boeing and Airbus to address questions and requirementsSupport the full product lifecycle from initial development through final certificationReview test results and lab data to confirm compliance with environmental, electrical, and flammability standardsParticipate in cross-functional collaboration across engineering, testing, and program teamsContinuously build expertise across multiple technical areas (electrical, structural, environmental, etc.)
