The organization offers a collaborative environment focused on operational excellence, innovation, and large-scale program execution.Position OverviewThe Senior Manager, Project Master Scheduler leads the enterprise-level planning and scheduling function responsible for developing, maintaining, and publishing the Master Ship Schedule (MSS), Pier Schedules, and vessel-specific operational schedules across SubCom's global portfolio of subsea cable installation projects. This role serves as a critical operational leadership position ensuring alignment between manufacturing readiness, marine operations, supply chain availability, subsystem delivery schedules, and customer project milestones.The Senior Manager will oversee the integration of cross-functional planning inputs into executable Operations Plans of Work (OPOWs), ensuring schedule integrity, resource optimization, and adherence to schedule lock requirements. This individual will proactively identify operational bottlenecks, vessel utilization conflicts, factory capacity constraints, and material availability risks that could impact project execution timelines.This role requires extensive coordination with Project Management, Fleet Operations, Factory & Sub-System Planning, Supply Chain, Engineering, Manufacturing, Marine Installation teams, and Executive Leadership to drive accurate forecasting, operational readiness, and successful project delivery in a highly complex, fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the development, maintenance, and governance of the Master Ship Schedule (MSS), Pier Schedules, and vessel deployment schedules across multiple concurrent global projectsCoordinate cross-functional planning activities to ensure Operations Plans of Work (OPOWs) accurately reflect manufacturing readiness, material availability, marine operations, and project execution requirementsManage schedule lock processes and change control procedures to minimize operational disruption and maintain schedule integrityAnalyze vessel utilization, operational capacity, factory throughput, and subsystem delivery timelines to proactively identify schedule conflicts and resource constraintsPartner closely with Project Managers, Fleet Operations, Supply Chain, Factory Planning, and Engineering teams to develop recovery plans and mitigation strategies for schedule risksProvide executive-level reporting, schedule analysis, KPI tracking, and operational forecasting to support business decision-making and client reporting requirementsDrive continuous improvement initiatives related to scheduling processes, planning tools, forecasting accuracy, and operational efficiencyEnsure alignment between customer milestones, manufacturing schedules, marine installation activities, and subcontractor deliverablesLead scenario planning and what-if analysis to evaluate operational impacts of schedule changes, vessel availability, weather delays, material shortages, or customer-driven modificationsSupport long-range capacity planning and operational readiness for future project commitments and vessel deploymentsMentor and guide Project Schedulers and planning personnel to promote scheduling best practices and operational consistencyQualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business, or related field preferred3+ years of experience in project scheduling, master scheduling, operations planning, marine operations, manufacturing planning, or large-scale program management environmentsPrior experience supporting complex engineering, manufacturing, marine, defense, telecommunications, shipbuilding, offshore, or infrastructure projects strongly preferredStrong understanding of integrated master scheduling, critical path analysis, resource loading, and operational capacity planningExperience working within highly cross-functional operational environments involving manufacturing, logistics, supply chain, and field operations coordinationAdvanced proficiency with scheduling and ERP tools such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, SAP, Oracle, or similar planning systemsStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple large-scale programsExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including experience presenting operational updates and schedule risks to executive leadershipAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven operational environment with high visibility and mission-critical deliverablesPreferred ExperienceExperience supporting marine operations, vessel scheduling, offshore installation projects, or subsea telecommunications programsFamiliarity with factory production planning, subsystem integration, and global logistics coordinationPMP, PMI-SP, APICS, or related project/scheduling certification is a plusAdditional InformationCompetitive compensation package including bonus eligibilityOpportunity to support globally significant infrastructure projectsHigh-visibility leadership role with strong cross-functional exposureLocal candidates only — relocation assistance is not available at this time
