Job Title: Construction Field ManagerLocation: Hemlock, MIReports to: General SuperintendentDepartment: Field ManagementPosition Summary:Drive successful field execution by leading day-to day construction operations, maintaining site safety, and ensuring work is completed in accordance with project schedules, plans, and quality standards. The Field Manager serves as the primary on-site leader, coordinating subcontractors, materials, equipment, and field activities to keep projects moving efficiently and safely. This role partners closely with Project Management to translate project objectives into effective field execution while proactively identifying and resolving issues that impact schedule, quality, or productivity. We value accountability, continuous improvement, and people who take ownership, solve problems, and deliver results.Responsibilities/ Duties:Lead Field Operations: Own daily job site execution, coordinating subcontractors, materials, equipment, and field activities to maintain project momentum and productivity.Drive Schedule Performance: Partner with Project Management to develop, maintain, and execute project schedules while proactively addressing delays in field challenges.Ensure Safety & Compliance: Maintain adherence to OSHA requirements, client standards, and company safety policies through inspections, hazard analyses, and ongoing site leadership.Manage Quality Control: Conduct field inspections, verify layouts, and ensure work is performed in accordance with project drawings, specifications, building codes, and company standards.Coordinate Materials & Equipment: Plan, schedule, and manage the delivery and utilization of materials, tools, and equipment required for project success.Oversee Project Documentation: Track project bulletin, field changes, and critical project updates while ensuring accurate communication across project stakeholders.Resolve Field Challenges: Identify and address job site issues, conflicts, and obstacles to minimize disruptions and maintain project progress.Maintain Stakeholder Communication: Build strong working relationships with subcontractors, project teams, clients, inspectors, and local code officials to support successful project outcomes.Monitor Construction Compliance: Ensure all work aligns with project plans, specifications, applicable building codes, and approved construction methods.Support Project Success: Collaborate with Project Management to achieve project goals related to safety, quality, schedule, and overall client satisfaction.QUALIFICATIONS5 years supervisory experience in the commercial construction industryMust have proficient computer skills (Microsoft word, excel, outlook and Procore)OSHA and CPR/First Aid/AED certified preferred (will train)Must have good communication skillsMust be able to travel throughout the United StatesMust have valid driver license with a clean driving recordMust have a strong commitment to safety and qualityMust be a problem solver
