Manufacturing Visual Inspection Technician 1st Shift Fremont, CA 6 Month ContractLocation: Fremont, CA Industry: Pharmaceutical / Biotechnology Manufacturing Shift: 1st Shift (MondayFriday, 6:00 AM 2:30 PM) Duration: 6 Months Contract Work Type: OnsiteAbout the RoleSigma Inc is seeking a detail-oriented Manufacturing Visual Inspection Technician to support drug product manufacturing operations in a cGMP-regulated, multi-product pharmaceutical facility.This role focuses on visual inspection, quality assurance, and production support, ensuring products meet strict regulatory and quality standards.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform visual inspection and advanced visual inspection of drug productsExecute palletizing, cleaning, and inspection hood preparationSupport drug product filling and packaging operationsOperate within BioMES / Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)Complete batch record documentation and equipment logsInitiate and track work orders and production activitiesMaintain compliance with cGMP and cGDP standardsIdentify, report, and document deviations, abnormalities, and quality issuesParticipate in quality investigations and corrective actions (CAPA)Maintain cleanroom standards (5S practices)Assist in training and mentoring team membersSupport continuous improvement and operational excellence initiativesAdditional DutiesFollow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and manufacturing guidelinesMaintain accurate documentation for compliance and auditsCollaborate with cross-functional teams in a high-performance environmentAdhere to all safety and regulatory requirementsRequirementsRequired:High School Diploma or GEDMinimum 1+ year experience in a cGMP-regulated environmentStrong attention to detail and quality-first mindset ("Right First Time")Experience with visual inspection or manufacturing operationsAbility to read and follow SOPs and work instructionsBasic computer skills and experience with MES systemsStrong written and verbal communication skillsPreferred:Associate or Bachelor's degree (Biotechnology or related field)Experience in pharmaceutical or biotech manufacturingFamiliarity with batch records, deviation reporting, and quality systemsPhysical & Work RequirementsMust pass vision testing (including color vision)Ability to perform detail-oriented visual work for extended periodsCapable of lifting up to 25 lbsComfortable working in a cleanroom / controlled environment
