Signsource is looking for a Permit Coordinator to handle permitting for our sign projects across Florida. We’ve been around a long time and stay busy, so this role is fast-paced and detail-heavy.
You’ll be managing multiple jobs at once, working with cities, engineers, and our internal team to keep projects moving.
We’re willing to train the right person — but you need to be very comfortable on a computer, organized, and able to figure things out without constant direction.
What You’ll Be Doing
Running sign code checks for different cities
Putting together and submitting permit packages
Tracking permits and staying on top of cities to keep things moving
Recording NOCs and keeping job files organized
Sending drawings to engineers and following up
Marking up site plans
Scheduling inspections and uploading install photos
Handling permitting payments
Scheduling hydrovac and concrete when needed
Keeping our tracking sheets updated daily (non-negotiable)
Registering us with new municipalities and keeping licenses up to date
Communicating with inspectors, city reviewers, customers, and our team
What We Need From You
Strong computer skills (this is a must — you’ll be in multiple systems all day)
Organized and detail-oriented
Able to manage multiple jobs without dropping the ball
Problem solver — not someone who waits to be told every step
Good communication skills and able to deal with all types of people
Reliable and shows up ready to work
Experience That Helps (but not required)
Permitting or construction background
Experience working with city/municipal portals
Google Sheets / Excel
Adobe, Word, Gmail
