Vocational Job Coach - Phoenix Essential Piece EnterprisesAZACS is growing, and we invite you to apply to be part of our award-winning teamAZACS was awarded the 2023/2024 National ESEA Distinguished Schools Award for Arizona and the 2022 YASS Prize for innovation in education and providing a transformational experience by expanding unique individualized learning programs for autism charter schools.The Essential Piece Enterprises (EPE) Client Vocational Coach will provide one-on-one to 3:1, individualized support to EPE clients participating in the Workforce Development Programs on-site and at off-site workplace experiences. The Job Coach must be a self-starter with strong written and oral communication skills who is comfortable working directly with adult clients, Essential Piece staff, and leaders to integrate client experiences and support within the Essential Piece community and external community partnerships.Day-to-Day Responsibilities:Task: Analyze clients' vocational duties within the job sites to supportEngage in one-on-one coaching with clients to support daily and weekly vocational dutiesProvide individualized support to the clients to assist them in the development of vocational/employment skills (resume writing, job interviews, application completion, etc.).Work closely with Program Directors, Program Staff, and External Worksite Staff to help them understand the value of the support our Workforce Development program providesCollect data regarding student performanceAssist clients in discovering and overcoming their barriers and setting goalsDevelop effective job coaching and employment plansCommunicate with clients to understand their goals and ambitionsTrain clients on interpersonal skillsServe to support behaviors on a day-to-day basis in the community, as well as on-siteMinimum Qualifications:At least 3 years of experience working with clients with moderate to severe disabilitiesCompletion of or currently enrolled in a program for Education, Psychology, or Business preferredRegistered Behavior Technician (RBT) preferredMastery and enthusiasm for best practices in autism education and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)Track record of success in behavior management with clients with autism or other special needsAbility to approach situations with optimism and perseveranceAbility to communicate with parents, co-workers, and professional contacts courteously and professionally, and follow AZACS guidelinesAbility to work independently and coordinate multiple tasks simultaneouslyAbility to exercise reasonable judgment and maintain confidentialityExperience in structured teaching, center-based model preferredRequired:Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance CardCurrent Arizona driver's license (must not be revoked, expired, or suspended)All Vocational job coaches are subject to take and pass a 9-panel drug screening before driving the company vanExperience and training in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)Benefits:12-month (year-round) positionCompetitive hourly rate $20.00 - $24.50 depending on experienceMedical, Dental, Vision, Group Life Insurance, Voluntary Life, Supplemental Benefits, Employee Assistance Program, and Pet InsuranceComplementary access to Calm Health for you and up to 5 of your loved ones96 hours of Paid Time Off and Paid Federal HolidaysGreat internal professional development and career growth opportunitiesADA AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:Positions in this class require: stooping, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions.Light Work:Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.Working Conditions:Work is routinely performed in an indoor and outdoor classroom setting.The information contained in this job description is for compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and is not an exhaustive list of the duties performed by this position.
