*Overview*
Position Overview We are seeking a hands-on EDA Workflow & Infrastructure Engineer to support and operate the HPC computing infrastructure and engineering application environments used across our engineering and R&D organizations. This contract role will focus on the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, and operational support of compute clusters, EDA applications, license infrastructure, and user access environments. Key Responsibilities \* Engineering Application Operations: Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade engineering applications. Manage application version trees and environment modules, perform qualification testing, and maintain clear documentation of test results and configurations. \* EDA Tool Deployment: Install, patch, configure, and support EDA tools and their associated environments. Build and maintain new application environments based on design team requirements, troubleshoot deployment issues, and provide technical support. \* License Server Management: Operate and monitor license servers, including FlexLM/FlexNet and similar license management platforms. Troubleshoot licensing issues and generate license utilization, availability, and idle-license reports. \* HPC Cluster Operations: Monitor HPC cluster and job queue health, investigate failed or pending jobs, enforce queue and resource allocation policies, and track infrastructure utilization, capacity, and performance metrics. \* User Access Environment Support: Deploy and maintain remote desktop, login, and engineering access environments. Troubleshoot user session, connectivity, and access-related issues to ensure reliable engineering workflows. \* R&D Software & License Management: Maintain software asset and license inventories, support procurement and renewal activities, provide deployment and user support, and drive software consolidation and standardization based on usage and utilization data. \* Linux Administration & Automation: Perform server provisioning, patching, storage and filesystem troubleshooting, and routine Linux administration. Develop scripts and automation to streamline monitoring, reporting, provisioning, and repetitive operational tasks. Required Qualifications \* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field. \* 3+ years of hands-on experience in HPC infrastructure, EDA/engineering IT, Linux systems administration, or a related environment. \* Working knowledge of HPC job schedulers such as LSF, SLURM, Grid Engine, or equivalent platforms. \* Experience supporting EDA/engineering application environments and license management systems. \* Familiarity with FlexLM/FlexNet or comparable software licensing platforms. \* Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills across compute, storage, filesystem, and user-access environments. \* Ability to develop scripts and automation for infrastructure operations, monitoring, reporting, and workflow optimization. \* Strong troubleshooting, documentation, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Pay: $70.00 - $80.00 per hour
