Today, the Fortress Credit team consists of over 525 professionals and is focused on investing globally, primarily in undervalued assets and distressed and illiquid credit investments. We manage assets on behalf of many of the world's most prominent and sophisticated allocators, including public and private pensions, sovereign wealth funds, large institutions and private clients.About the PositionThe New York office has an opening in the Credit & Real Estate Business Capital Formation Group for a Client Service Associate. The new member of the Client Service team will take ownership of all investor relations functions for a group of designated funds, primarily focused on supporting the growing Private Wealth Solutions business.The Client Service team communicates directly with investors and will play a critical role coordinating communication between investors, Wire Houses, Financial Advisors, Reginal/independent broker dealers, RIAs and our Administrator & Transfer Agent.The individual will work closely with the Private Wealth distribution team and Head of Investor Relations. This position offers significant growth and advancement opportunities.The Credit and Real Estate Business Capital Formation Associate will:Respond to daily investor inquiries via phone and email; investigating and problem solving on topics which can range from reporting, performance, fund documents/guidelinesLiaising with fund administrators, and internal middle/back office, treasury, legal, and compliance teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of investor correspondence and reportingFacilitate capital activity events including subscriptions, redemptions, transfers and reviewing and tracking documentation from investors while liaising with internal and external legal and tax counselUpdating and maintaining investor recordsDocumenting processes and policies and recommending additional procedures to enhance investor communicationsComplete frequent investor reporting requests including DDQs and fee requests as well as sourcing responses and liaising with internal finance, asset management, and compliance teams to complete more complex reportingHave an understanding of and ensure compliance with FINRA, FATCA and ERISA obligations as well implementing AIFMD, FOIA, and AML/KYC proceduresThe ideal candidate will have:A bachelor's degree from a top university with a strong academic recordAt least 2 - 3 years of financial services experience - fund administration, fund operations, or fund accounting experience is preferredCredit and/or real estate experience a strong plusAdvance proficiency in CRM systems focused on alternative investmentsAdvanced proficiency in PowerPoint and ExcelExcellent verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skillsAbility to effectively manage multiple prioritiesSelf-motivation with the ability to work independently and as a team playerExcellent organizational skillsMeticulous attention to detailStrong work ethic and desire to excel in a dynamic and fast-paced work environmentThe base salary range for this position is expected to be between $100,000 and $140,000The base salary range proposed for this role has been set forth to comply with local law, but salary is only one element of the total compensation for this role. The base salary range suggested above does not include compensation elements such as bonuses, overtime and deferred cash (each of which are applicable in certain roles), benefits, perquisites, and company contributions to employee 401(k) accounts. Such other pay components often result in total compensation materially exceeding base salary for a particular role.
