Lead Technician / Mechanic

Level A Technician: Auto Mechanic General Service Tech At Midas we are dedicated to providing quality services to customer vehicles in the areas of inspection, diagnosis and repair utilizing the expertise attained through ASE Certifications and/or years of automotive repair experience.We are looking for general service technicians that are able to work independently of others, while also being able to work collaboratively at times with peers. We have a full-service facility and we are looking for automotive technicians to help us create an environment of success!Learn while you work, work while you learn! As a technician, you'll be exposed to and have responsibility for performing:Tire mounting, rotationAlignmentsBatteries, starting and chargingFluid exchanges such as oil, coolant, power steering, etc.Visual safety and courtesy inspectionsMaintenanceResponsibilitiesAs a Midas general service technician, you'll be exposed to and have responsibility for performing a wide range of automotive maintenance services, including:Perform routine vehicle maintenance, including fluid exchanges and oil changesVisual safety and courtesy inspectionsMounting, balancing and rotating tiresReplacing batteriesChanging bulbs, belts and hosesMaintaining and cleaning shop areasOther shop maintenance items as neededQualificationsTechnicians must have prior knowledge of automotive basicsKnowledge of shop equipmentStrong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skillsDeadline and detail-orientedAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environmentValid driver's licenseJob requirements: A valid driver's license, high school diploma or GED is preferred, must be at least 18 years old, ability to lift an object weighing up to but not limited to 60 pounds, basic tool setCommission based to be discussed upon interview and/or hiring
