Sr. Accountant

Job Overview:Search Solution Group is seeking a Senior Accountant on behalf of our client, a full-service provider specializing in digital and print communication solutions, document processing, and mailing services. This role is essential to maintaining the financial health and integrity of the organization. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for applying general accounting principles, preparing financial reports, supporting audits, and ensuring compliance across multiple entities in a fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities:Ensure all accounting practices comply with legal guidelines, GAAP, and established accounting policiesPrepare and review financial reports, reconciliations, and statements on a monthly and annual basisMonitor and analyze financial transactions for assigned accounts, departments, and entitiesPrepare journal entries and maintain, reconcile, and analyze general ledger accountsMaintain accurate records for inventory, fixed assets, and other financial dataAssist with billing, tax documentation, and state sales tax paymentsSupport the development and maintenance of internal controls and accounting policiesCollaborate with IT to maintain financial systems and assist with accounting system migrationsIdentify and resolve discrepancies in financial recordsAssist with accounts payable processing and ensure proper accounting treatmentPrepare documentation and respond to internal and external audit requestsProvide technical accounting support to departments across the organizationAssist with special reports, projects, team training, and development initiativesAct as backup to the VP of Finance and support related responsibilitiesAssist with collection calls as neededMaintain balance sheet reconciliations and audit documentationRequirements include:Education:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration requiredExperience:5-10 years of accounting or finance experienceManufacturing industry experience preferredExperience working with multiple legal entities under different legal structuresSkills:Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to prioritize, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environmentHigh attention to detail and accuracyAbility to work independently and collaborativelyCertifications:CPA or CMA certification preferred but not requiredKnowledge:Strong knowledge of GAAP, full accounting cycle, and financial reportingExperience with Sage, QuickBooks, or similar multi-entity accounting systemsIn-house payroll processing and payroll tax filingInternal controls, audit preparation, and compliance requirementsKey Competencies:Integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive informationSelf-directed and proactive work styleStrong collaboration and cross-functional communicationAdaptability in a changing business environmentProcess improvement mindsetAbility to maintain professional and positive relationships with management, vendors, and colleaguesHow to Apply:To apply for this position, please click the "Apply" button at the top right of your screen.
