Information Technology Specialist

IT SpecialistJersey City, NJ (on-site, 5 days per week)X4 is working with a growing medical device organisation that is seeking an IT Specialist to join its team. This is a hands-on role supporting day-to-day IT operations, users, and core business systems within a fast-paced and regulated environment.Role OverviewThe IT Specialist will play a key role in supporting internal users, maintaining IT infrastructure, and ensuring smooth operation of business-critical systems. The position offers broad exposure across IT support, systems administration, and vendor coordination.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide technical support for hardware, software, and network issuesInstall, maintain, and troubleshoot computers, printers, and office IT equipmentSupport Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive) and biometric fingerprinting systemsManage user accounts, including onboarding, offboarding, and building access/ID setupMaintain network connectivity, VPN access for remote users, and overall system performanceLiaise with external IT vendors and managed service providers for equipment procurement (e.g., laptops)Support cybersecurity practices including password policies, system updates, and endpoint protectionAssist with data backups and routine system maintenanceMaintain IT inventory records and technical documentationSupport internal systems such as ERP platforms and Salesforce CRMGain exposure to cloud environments such as Microsoft Azure or similarWork within a regulated environment; experience in medical device or manufacturing is advantageousQualifications3+ years of IT support experienceStrong knowledge of: Microsoft 365 and Windows operating systemsBasic networking (Wi-Fi, VPNs, TCP/IP)Strong troubleshooting and organisational skillsAbility to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholdersExperience in a fast-paced environmentIf you're interested, please apply, and reach out to o.archer@x4lifesciences.com
