Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and ability to deal with the public in a professional and courteous manner. Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities and enhance the spirit of teamwork through effective role modeling. Excellent interpersonal, communication (written and oral) and organizational skills. Computer literacyPreferred: Experience with Microsoft Office products including word, excel and power point. This is evidenced by work behavior which ensures safety, promotes dignity, respect, well being, and exemplifies healthy relationships.Demonstrates knowledge and skill necessary to provide service based on the physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety criteria for pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric age groups in his or her area of service.Under the general supervision of the Director of Accounting coordinates and participates in the processing of the bi-weekly payroll. Assumes a lead role within the payroll team and sets high quality standards for policy/procedure compliance. Establish/maintains payroll data elements including income, deduction authorization codes, and general ledger expense coding. Completes all payroll software processing requirements including: Running a begin cycle, entering timecards, Proving data, Releasing date, Updating checks, Entering voids/reclasses, Producing a trial balance, Printing checks/paystubs, Updating FTE data, and transmitting NACHA information. Acts as lead payroll contact for system test and upgrades, electronically transmits federal and state taxes, produces internal payroll reports, and interfaces payroll data to Lawson general ledger. Prepares all payroll related reports such as quarterly 941's, W-2 processing, payroll account reconciliations, and all federal and state regulatory filings. Supports management staff by defining issues, creating custom query reports, and analyzing results. Prepares initial recommendations for management review and discussion. Makes initial assessment of pay practice interpretations and reviews with manager as required. Supports all internal and external audit requests/requirements. Actively participates on Human Resource Information System team to insure continual system development.Job functions:Processes the bi-weekly payroll in accordance with established policies and procedures.Completes all payroll regulatory reporting accurately and timely.Assumes a lead role within the Payroll team and sets high quality standards for policy and procedure compliance.Actively participates on the HRIS team.Acts as lead payroll contact for system maintenance, upgrades, and testing.QualificationsEducation:Minimum: 2 Year Associates Degree in business or related field.Experience:Minimum: Minimum of 4 years computerized payroll experience including comprehensive knowledge of federal state regulatory requirements.Why is This a Great OpportunityABOUT THE AREA:Geneva is a city in New York State.
