Job SummaryThe Subsurface Specialist is a hybrid seller-doer role combining hands-on field expertise with business development responsibilities. This position is responsible for performing subsurface investigation services while also serving as a front-line representative to grow client relationships and drive revenue. Your experience in mission-critical environments, safety protocols, and field operations translates well to this role.Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerform subsurface investigations using technologies such as GPR and EM pipe locating; capture results digitally using advanced field software and GPS integrationDeliver on-site solutions, mark-outs, and reports in alignment with company quality and safety standardsEngage clients before, during, and after services to ensure accurate data capture and satisfactionIdentify and pursue new business opportunities through job site visits, office outreach, and networking eventsPartner with Business Development, Account Managers, and Branch Leadership to expand existing client relationships and cross-sell servicesPrepare and deliver custom quotes, proposals, and pricing negotiationsServe as a subject matter expert through a consultative sales approachCoordinate with operations to align project schedules and ensure seamless service deliveryTrack client interactions, leads, and opportunities within CRM systemsRepresent the company at industry events, safety meetings, and project kickoffsPromote a strong culture of safety and professionalism at all timesPerform additional duties as assignedRequired Skills and AbilitiesProven field experience in underground utility locating and mappingStrong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with a sales mindsetSelf-starter with the ability to manage time and priorities independentlyAbility to assess client needs and recommend appropriate solutionsClear verbal and written communication skillsStrong technical documentation and reporting capabilitiesBasic sales aptitude and comfort with follow-up and closing opportunitiesProficiency in Microsoft Office; CRM experience preferredAbility to travel locally and work in active construction environmentsEducation and ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification in GPR or related field preferred2+ years of experience in GPR, concrete scanning, or related services preferredPrior sales or customer-facing experience in construction or industrial services is a strong plusPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift 50+ pounds and transport field equipmentComfortable working outdoors in varying conditions and active job sitesAbility to travel regularly to multiple job locations within a defined territoryCareer Growth OpportunityThis role is ideal for individuals who want to blend technical expertise with business development and grow within a dynamic, team-oriented environment focused on safety, innovation, and performance.Apply TodayWe are actively hiring for this position.
