Associate VP/VP, New Media

Role Assemble is a leading political and public affairs firm that partners with companies, coalitions, and associations across financial services, energy, sports and entertainment, technology, labor, and healthcare. We're hiring an Associate VP or VP of New Media to lead and grow our emerging media practice on our Advocacy and Influence team. This is a client-facing, strategy-first role focused on the channels and tactics reshaping how campaigns and causes reach, organize, and mobilize audiences. You'll own our creator partnerships practice, spanning both paid and organic influencer programs, alongside social listening, digital organizing strategy, and social amplifier programs. As new media becomes central to how our clients communicate, you'll help define what best-in-class looks like at Assemble, building out frameworks, processes, and client offerings that scale. Responsibilities Creator & Influencer Programs Serve as a day-to-day point of contact for clients, structure and manage paid and non-paid creator engagements on behalf of clients, from strategy through execution. Build and maintain creator rosters across relevant platforms and issue areas. Develop creator briefs, manage relationships, and ensure content aligns with campaign goals and compliance requirements. Leverage tools like ManyChat to build out creator-driven conversion and engagement flows. Social Listening & Research Lead social listening efforts across platforms to surface audience insights, track narrative trends, and inform campaign strategy. Develop regular research and reporting deliverables that translate data into clear, actionable recommendations for clients and internal teams. Help pitch and package this product to clients. Digital Organizing & Amplifier Programs Advise clients on digital organizing strategy, helping campaigns and advocacy organizations move supporters from passive followers to active participants. Design and manage social amplifier programs that activate networks to extend organic reach and message penetration. Organic Social Advisory Provide strategic counsel on organic social presence, content strategy, and platform-specific best practices. Help clients show up with consistency and credibility across channels. Client Service & Growth Serve as a senior strategic voice on client accounts, presenting recommendations with confidence and translating complex tactics into clear narratives. Contribute to new business pitches and RFP responses. Help build out case studies and thought leadership that position Assemble as a leader in new media strategy. Qualifications 5+ years of experience in creator programs, digital organizing, organic social, or new media strategy, ideally in a political, advocacy, or public affairs context Demonstrated experience structuring and managing both paid and non-paid creator partnerships Hands-on experience with tools like ManyChat or similar platforms for creator-driven engagement and conversion Strong background advising on organic social and social amplifier programs. As well as social listening platforms and translating research into strategic insights.
