Position Overview
PIERPOINTE is seeking a Summer Camp Director to lead and oversee our special needs summer camp program.
The ideal candidate is an organized, energetic, and compassionate leader with experience working with children and pre-teens with special needs, especially Autism Spectrum Disorder.
This role is responsible for supervising staff, ensuring program quality and safety, and creating a positive and supportive camp experience for all participants.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations of the summer camp program
Supervise, train, and support camp counselors and staff
Ensure a safe, structured, and engaging environment for campers
Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams as needed
Implement and maintain schedules, activities, and behavior supports
Communicate effectively with families and caregivers
Monitor camper progress and address concerns promptly and professionally
Ensure compliance with organizational policies and safety guidelines
Qualifications
Experience working with children and/or pre-teens with special needs (required)
Prior leadership, supervisory, or camp/program management experience (preferred)
Background in education, psychology, social work, ABA, or related field (preferred)
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Ability to lead a team and foster a positive, inclusive culture
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Pay: $45.00 - $47.00 per hour
