Captivation is looking for software developers who can get stuff done while making a difference in support of the mission to protect our country.DescriptionCaptivation Software is looking for a mid level software engineer who shall be responsible for collaborating with Product Owners, System Engineers, and Project Software Engineers to design, develop, test, troubleshoot, and sustain a mission-focused enterprise web application deployed in a containerized Kubernetes Linux environment.RequirementsSecurity Clearance:Must currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph, therefore all candidates must be a U.S. citizenMinimum Qualifications:Master's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus three (3) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus five (5) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexitySeven (7) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.Required Skills:Experience using the Linux CLI and Tool SuiteExperience developing Bash/Python scriptsExperience developing with Python in a Linux environmentExperience with containerization technologies such as DockerFamiliar with container orchestration technologies such as KubernetesExperience creating Helm Charts to deploy containerized services on KubernetesExperience with SQL technologies such as MySQLExperience with designing and implementing REST interfacesExperience with CI/CD principles, methodologies, and tools such as GitLab CIExperience with Git Source Control SystemDesired Skills:Experience with the Django Web frameworkExperience with the Celery Task SchedulerExperience with NGINXExperience with the Atlassian Suite of Tools such as Jira and ConfluenceExperience with AI Development Tools such as Claude CodeThis position is open for direct hires only.
