Converting Engineer
Position Summary: Manufacturing Engineer, RFID Label Conversion
Develop, implement and/or improve RFID label conversion processing in a fast-paced, high technology, electronics assembly environment and provide manufacturing capability to meet or exceed product quality, quantity, and cost requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
B.S. or B.A. degree in Engineering discipline (preferably Industrial or Mechanical)
One (1) year of experience in a manufacturing assembly environment
Essential Job Functions
Review new product designs for manufacturability
Evaluate, purchase, install & qualify new production equipment
Work with customers and/or vendors on process transfers
Program automated label conversion and inspection equipment.
Propose changes for cost savings, yield, & productivity improvements
Research latest technologies in relation to capability improvements
Train manufacturing personnel on assembly procedures
Provide technical support to sales & marketing teams for change requests
Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Demonstrated understanding of basic engineering fundamentals
Familiarity with laminating, die cutting, and roll to roll processing is a must.
Experience with basic quality tools
Microsoft Office products
Ability to work in a Cleanroom, Class 1000+
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Superior organization and problem-solving skills
