About the OpportunityWe are seeking a Data Engineer to play a key role in modernizing and scaling our enterprise data platform. This individual will help build the foundation for a more mature, data-driven organization by partnering with implementation consultants and internal stakeholders to establish a modern cloud data ecosystem.This is a highly visible opportunity for someone who enjoys building data infrastructure, improving data quality, and creating scalable processes in a growing organization. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, technically strong, and comfortable working in an environment where data practices, governance, and architecture are still evolving.The organization is currently implementing a modern data stack centered around Snowflake, with a focus on creating a trusted, scalable platform that supports analytics, reporting, and future AI initiatives.ResponsibilitiesPartner with internal teams and external consultants to implement and optimize a modern data platform.Build, maintain, and enhance data pipelines to ingest data from multiple business systems.Design and develop scalable ELT/ETL processes using modern cloud technologies.Create and maintain dbt models, transformations, and documentation.Support the implementation and long-term administration of Snowflake.Develop data models and architecture that support enterprise reporting and analytics.Establish data governance, data quality, and metadata management best practices.Build and maintain data catalogs and documentation.Ensure consistency and integrity of data across business functions and source systems.Collaborate with analysts and business stakeholders to translate reporting requirements into scalable data solutions.Support integration between source systems, the data warehouse, and downstream reporting tools.Serve as a long-term owner of the data platform following the initial implementation effort.Help drive continuous improvement of the organization's data capabilities and architecture.Required Qualifications7+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, Data Warehousing, or related disciplines.Hands-on experience designing and building data pipelines in modern cloud environments.Strong experience with Snowflake.Strong experience with dbt and data transformation frameworks.Experience developing and maintaining ETL/ELT workflows.Solid understanding of dimensional modeling, data warehousing, and data architecture principles.Experience supporting analytics and reporting environments.Strong SQL skills.Experience implementing data governance and data quality practices.Ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Strong collaboration, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.Preferred QualificationsExperience with Fivetran.Experience implementing or supporting modern data platforms from the ground up.Exposure to Medallion Architecture or similar layered data design approaches.Experience with data cataloging and metadata management tools.Exposure to Domo or other BI and analytics platforms.Understanding of AI-ready data architectures and modern cloud analytics ecosystems.Exposure to Snowflake Cortex or related AI capabilities.What We're Looking ForThe ideal candidate is a well-rounded data professional who understands the full data lifecycle, from ingestion and integration through transformation, governance, and analytics consumption.You should be comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment where systems, processes, and standards are still being established.
