ORR Youth Shelter - Bilingual (Spanish) Shift Supervisor
We're looking for highly motived individuals that are passionate in working with children. The role that we are currently looking to fill is a Shift Supervisor position. Shift Supervisor assist the program, staff and the clients by providing a supportive and structured environment. If you are a highly motivated person with a passion to work with people, this is the job for you.Essential FunctionsManage Staff by:Providing guidance and supportTrainingsAddress employee concerns or performance concerns.Maintain open and consistent communication with the Program Manager regarding all incidents that occur on the shift.Complete Facility walk thru.Ensure all tasks are completed by assigned staff.Send and Submit daily reports that are assigned to the position Conduct shift Leader meeting on a weekly, bi weekly or monthly basis.Develop positive rapport with staff and youth.On call rotation with peers.And other functions.Salary: $51,000Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday: 6am-2pmLocation: Mesa, AZBenefits: Health Insurance, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Disability, 401K, accrual of vacation and sick time, Employee Assistance Program, Annual reviews with possible merit increases and other.QualificationsEducation: High School or GED required Associate degree in human services field, preferredBilingual; possess effective verbal and written language skills in English and Spanish.ExperienceMinimum 2-years working in an ORR contracted facility. Minimum 2-years demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience. Basic computer literacy; including, navigating a Microsoft Windows operating system, Outlook email exchange, and online applications. 2-years supervising staff, preferred ResponsibilitiesMaintain a professional working relationship with clients, A NEW LEAF employees, community members and the public to ensure proper representation of A NEW LEAF. Be aware of, and abide by, the rules and regulations governing the professional behavior of A NEW LEAF staff; including codes of conduct, ethics, professional standards and general demeanor. Attend and participate in meetings and/or projects as requested by management. Demonstrate and provide strong communications skills both verbally and in writing. Determine priority for program components in conjunction with the Program Manager. Maintain standards of confidentiality and professionalism at all times, including verbal and written client/family information. Be aware of all contractual obligations pursuant upon the facility as a result of placements by each agency. Responsible for implementing and enforcing safety performance standards. Present Program and A NEW LEAF to the public, the courts and other concerned individuals. Observe all ethical principles and standards of your profession and assume and carry out clinical and administrative functions consistent with local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
