With our refreshed "We Care" approach, we focus on creating engaging, person-centered experiences while supporting our team in a positive, collaborative environment.We are currently seeking a Day Program Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide hands-on support and active engagement for individuals in our day habilitation program.Position OverviewThe Day Program DSP is responsible for actively supporting and engaging individuals throughout the day, ensuring all activities and programs are meaningful, individualized, and aligned with each person's goals. This is a hands-on, highly interactive role that requires energy, attentiveness, and a commitment to helping individuals reach their highest potential.What You'll DoProvide supervision, training, and support to adults with developmental disabilitiesFollow each individual's service plan and goals to promote independence and personal growthPlan and implement engaging, individualized activities based on personal interests and preferencesAssist individuals in developing daily living skills such as hygiene, mobility, and personal careTransport individuals to and from the program, as well as to community outings and activitiesMaintain awareness of individuals' whereabouts at all times to ensure safetyUtilize approved behavior plans and intervention strategiesAct as a positive role model for individuals and team membersProgram & Daily ResponsibilitiesEnsure programming is person-centered and meaningful for each individualSupport participation in community-based activities, volunteering, and recreational outingsAssist with medication administration and documentation in accordance with MAR guidelinesMonitor health needs and communicate concerns to the nurse and supervisorMaintain a clean, safe, and organized program environmentAssist individuals with managing personal belongings and funds according to policyParticipate in daily program cleaning and upkeepDocumentation & ComplianceComplete daily documentation and service entries in THERAPMaintain accurate records including progress notes, incident reports, and activity logsCollect data on individual progress in accordance with agency policyEnsure compliance with all agency standards, including cooperation with inspections and investigationsFollow all required procedures for safety, medical response, and emergency situationsAdditional ResponsibilitiesCommunicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and program staffParticipate in meetings, trainings, and sessions with Behavior SpecialistsFollow all policies regarding professionalism and appropriate workplace conductComplete all assigned duties as directed by the Program ManagerCore CompetenciesStrong communication skills (verbal and written)Ability to follow direction and work as part of a teamProfessionalism and ability to serve as a positive role modelUnderstanding of Individual Service Plans and behavior support strategiesHigh level of integrity and ethical standardsAbility to accurately document and enter service dataWhat We OfferCompetitive payMedical, Dental, and Vision InsuranceGenerous Paid Time Off (PTO)401(k) Retirement PlanLife InsurancePaid training and professional developmentSupportive, team-oriented work environmentOpportunities for growth within the organizationRequirementsMust pass criminal background check, central registry, child abuse registry, and drug screeningValid driver's license and clean driving recordExperience in human services is a plusWhy P.I.L.O.T.
