This role focuses on transmission line design, upgrades, and renewable interconnection projects supporting utilities like Bonneville Power Administration and regional PUDs.Job DescriptionDesign transmission lines from 69kV-500kV (routing, alignment, profiles)Perform structure spotting, sag & tension, and loading analysisDevelop design packages using tools like PLS-CADD / PLS-POLE / PLS-TOWERSupport reconductoring and line uprate projectsCoordinate with substation, civil, and environmental teamsSupport permitting, siting, and constructability reviewsInterface with utility clients and review standards (BPA, local utilities)Projects:Supporting routing, siting, and early-stage design for a 400kV HVDC renewable transmission corridorOngoing upgrades, integration, and reliability improvements in Eastern WAReconductoring, pole replacement, and resilience upgrades across multiple utility systemsTransmission expansion tied to wind, solar, and battery storage developmentsMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
