All qualified individuals are encouraged to apply, including individuals with disabilities and Protected Veterans.Job Description: The job is responsible for delivering technical training programs, coaching repair center staff (especially technicians), and ensuring that technicians have the knowledge and skills to repair vehicles properly and safely. The technical trainer also collaborates with regional and market leadership to address issues that may improve technical capabilities and skills within the markets.Key Job ResponsibilitiesEnsure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.Deliver technical training in the assigned area, complete and retain all training documentation, follow company policies regarding expense control and documentation, and maintain trainer tools and company assets.Visit repair centers to assess technical capabilities, including technicians' knowledge, skills and abilities, through observation, experience, and dialogue.Provide coaching to technicians on applying technical skills and building efficiencies in the repair process. Work with technicians, repair center general managers, and market leaders to proactively recommend classes that improve knowledge and skills.Monitor and coach for full compliance on QC processes.Assess repair center capabilities to deliver complete and safe repairs, maintaining proper repair tools and equipment, and provide documented feedback when tools and equipment need upgrades or repairs.Assist in the development of technician trainees by working at a fixed training center or with technician trainees.Develop and improve technical training clinics to teach repair skills and ensure a consistent message across the network of repair centers.Keep current on the latest advancements in repair processes and techniques.Perform program assessments, training, and coaching.Education and/or Experience RequiredAt least 5–7 years of industry experience.At least 2 years of experience delivering training is preferred.Completed post-secondary studies preferred; high school diploma or GED required.Applicable industry certifications.Attendance at required continuing professional education.Required Skills/AbilitiesStrong verbal and written communication skills.High level of independently planning and organizing work with minimal supervision.Ability to communicate, motivate and cooperate with all levels of staff.Knowledge of computer applications, including Internet, Google platform, and Microsoft Office applications.Other RequirementsMust possess a valid driver's license and be insurable under the company's auto liability insurance policies.Must be able to travel up to 30%–70% including some overnight travel.Note: This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities.
