Position Title: Project ManagerLocation: Marietta, GAJob Description:We are a professional services firm specializing in capital program delivery, civil engineering inspection, and roadway design. Our current roster of clients serve to provide these same solutions on a capital scale.Currently, our client is actively seeking an experienced, creative, Project Manager for immediate employment. This position’s responsibilities include managing the scope, schedule, and budget of various projects, under the direction of a regional, senior-level project manager. The candidate will be responsible for GDOT major and minor bridge replacement projects throughout Georgia. Projects are delivered using procedures typical to the Georgia Department of Transportation and local Georgia government entities.Duties and Responsibilities:Manages multiple bridge design project(s) with up to $1m contract value and $50K - $250K annual gross revenues, including planning, directing, and supervising all aspects of the project's financial results, client satisfaction, safety, and quality.Manages complex projects, involving a combination of the following:o Clients with a small or local geographic footprinto Projects involving limited services provided by a local IE officeo Other complexities, on a limited basis, such as projects that involve litigation,Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) super funding, due diligence, etc.Develops strong client relationships, both internal and external to the project teamOrganizes project assignments under mentorship and training of supervision of management staffConsistently identifies potential project problems or opportunities in a proactive manner, analyzes the issues using all appropriate resources, develops alternatives, and arrives at the most optimum approach to mitigate problemsMake well-informed and objective decisions relating to assigned projects with a strong understanding of the impact and implications of decisions.Manage project resources.Advise/mentor less experienced staff on project management skills.Performs other job-related duties as assignedIdeal Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related disciplineMust have either a PMP or an interest in obtainingExperience managing infrastructure-based or complex capital projectsHigh level of problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communications skillsProficient in Microsoft applications including the MS Office SuiteTo Apply:Please send your resume and cover letter to info@pontengineering.com with the subject line “Project Manger Application – [Your Name]”.
