Description CEI Inspector - Jacksonville, FLHalff has a current opening for a CEI Inspector in Jacksonville, FL location to act as a company representative on construction sites.As a (Construction Engineering and Inspection) CEI Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, safety, and compliance of construction projects. You will be responsible for monitoring and inspecting construction activities, materials, and processes to ensure they meet project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. Your attention to detail and effective communication skills will contribute to the successful delivery of projects that meet client expectations and maintain the firm's reputation for excellence.Learn about Halff and our 75th Anniversary!What you will do:Conduct on-site inspections of construction activities to ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications, and codesMonitor the quality of construction materials, workmanship, and techniques used during the construction processDocument and report any non-compliant activities, deviations, or deficiencies to project managers and stakeholdersPerform field tests and measurements on materials such as concrete, asphalt, soils, and structural componentsMonitor the construction progress and report any delays or potential impactsReview construction plans, drawings, and technical documents and be able to verify the contractor is in complianceEnsure adherence to safety protocols and regulations on construction sitesPrepare detailed inspection reports, including photographs and relevant documentation, for project recordsWhat you will need:Moderate understanding of construction practices, materials, methods, and relevant codes and regulationsModerate understanding reading and interpreting construction plans, drawings, and technical documentsModerate knowledge of quality assurance and quality control processes within the construction industryFamiliarity with various construction testing and measurement tools and equipmentModerate communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with project teams and stakeholdersAttention to detail and the ability to identify and report discrepancies or deviationsComfortable working outdoors and in various weather conditionsBasic computer skills for creating and maintaining inspection reports and documentationPhysical Requirements: (Minimum qualifications)Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.Must be able to travel to various project sitesMust be able to access and navigate job sites and construction areasThe Halff Construction Services (CEI) Solutions AdvantageFull spectrum of your project needs: transportation, water/wastewater, utilities, power transmission and vertical construction.Outstanding relationships with owners, stakeholders, and developers across multiple regions and disciplines.Unified BIM platform.
