And we invest in our world-class team, empowering our colleagues to unpack their potential, because we believe when our people grow, so does our business.PurposeThe Production Supervisor will be responsible for leading and motivating the production team toexceed goals and monitoring the day-to-day production activities to ensure that productionefficiency goals are being met, safety protocols are being followed, and quality product is beingproduced. Directly supervises hourly employees. Plans and controls production performanceas measured against operating targets developed according to machine capabilities, manpowercapabilities and projected business. Ensures compliance to established customer quality andproduction standards. Actively leads and participates in plant safety, housekeeping, 5S andlean manufacturing programs by ensuring goals are met within the department. Ensurescompletion of all required paperwork, schedules, work orders, etc.ResponsibilitiesPlanning, organizing, executing and leading the assigned production areaAccountable to plan and execute to meet required safety, quality, delivery, production, cost and communication objectivesMeet production schedules within budgeted allocationEnsure appropriate on-the-job training and development of crew members is satisfiedAddress mechanical, operational, and technical downtime issues within departmentTrain, motivate and mentor employeesConduct training of new and existing employeesSupervise employees in the day-to-day operations to ensure safety, quality and productivityMaintain and improve production throughput and work with Production Manager to maintain direct labor costProvide support for on the job assignments and continuous improvement initiativesEnsure company policies, quality procedures, and Good Manufacturing Policies (GMPs) areimplemented, understood and followedMaintain a positive working environment for all employeesMaintain all required logs and reporting documentation and adhere to all safety proceduresAdhere to all company safety regulations and policiesWorks with maintenance, Production Manager and Berry Technical Teams on the installation of new equipment and new lines.Responsible for adhering to and executing the applicable Environmental Health & Safety programs in order to provide a safe and clean workplace for all employees according to Berry, local, state, and federal requirement-regulations.
