General Maintenance Technician (Lagrange, GA)

Position Title: Maintenance Technician IILocation: Lagrange, GAClearance Requirements: NonePay Rate: $24.00/hourPosition DescriptionJoin a dynamic facilities maintenance team as a Maintenance Technician II and play a critical role in maintaining and repairing commercial and industrial equipment in a fast-paced environment. This contract-to-hire opportunity offers a competitive hourly rate and the chance to work on a variety of systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building safety equipment. You will execute preventive maintenance, troubleshoot complex systems, and ensure safety compliance while supporting operational excellence. This role emphasizes effective communication, ownership, and collaboration across teams.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform preventive maintenance and repairs on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety, and facility systems.Conduct routine inspections and system checks, documenting performance and issues.Troubleshoot and repair equipment such as motors, transformers, MCC panels, dock equipment, lighting, and control systems.Rebuild pumps, valves, electrical components, and pneumatic devices as needed.Support building system upgrades, leak repairs, and minor renovations.Manage parts inventory, order supplies, and document work in CMMS and other systems.Communicate effectively with team members and clients about work progress and safety protocols.May oversee maintenance projects and coordinate with subcontractors.Adhere to OSHA safety standards, lock-out/tag-out procedures, and site policies.Top RequirementsHigh School diploma or equivalent; trade school and relevant certifications preferred.Minimum of 4 years’ experience in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or related maintenance.Valid driver’s license, forklift, and aerial lift licenses are required.Strong understanding of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, safety).Proficiency in troubleshooting, equipment repair, and preventive maintenance.Ability to interpret technical instructions, operate CMMS software, and manage work orders.Excellent communication skills and safety awareness.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.About Seneca ResourcesAt Seneca Resources, we are more than just a staffing and consulting firm, we are a trusted career partner.
