Senior Project Geologist

We're genuine co-owners, and this ESOP setup promotes a culture of collaboration and engagement throughout MSA because we all have a direct financial interest as owners."Project Engineer Transportation, Cedar Rapids OfficeResponsibilities Role Responsibilities Client & Stakeholder EngagementCoordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, clients, and regulatory agencies during site investigation activitiesCommunicate with regulatory authorities and clients regarding current and future site investigationsObtain site access agreements and required authorizationsPresent investigation results to clients, residents, and other stakeholdersProject & Technical ResponsibilitiesPlan, execute, and complete:Phase I & Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs)Limited Site InvestigationsRemedial Investigations and remediation activitiesPerform and oversee:Soil, groundwater, soil vapor, and other environmental samplingDrilling activities using direct push and hollow‑stem auger methodsMonitoring well installation and soil gas samplingConduct aquifer testing and hydrogeologic analysis with senior technical guidanceInterpret lithology, geologic features, and environmental dataPrepare high‑quality technical reports including: ESAs, remedial investigation reports, case closures, corrective action designs and remedial action plansDevelop proposals, scopes of work, and project budgetsReview technical reports, proposals, and subcontractor invoicesQualifications What you bring Skills & Knowledge / Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Geology or closely related discipline requiredProject Geologist (PG) preferred, multiple states are a plus10+ years of related environmental experience required3+ years in a consulting company strongly preferred This position requires you to have authorization to work in the United States for any employer.
