Structured Cabling Installer

In this energetic role, you will be responsible for installing, terminating, testing, and troubleshooting structured cabling systems that support voice, data, video, and security networks. We are looking for motivated individuals who thrive in hands-on environments and are eager to deliver top-quality installation services with precision and professionalism. *Responsibilities* * Install and terminate structured cabling systems including Cat5, Cat6, fiber optic cables, and low-voltage electrical wiring for telecommunications and data networks * Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and installation manuals to accurately execute cabling layouts * Use diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters, cable testers, and fiber splicing equipment to verify system integrity and troubleshoot issues * Perform fiber optic splicing, cable testing (including RF testing), and equipment troubleshooting to ensure optimal network performance * Install telecommunications equipment such as Cisco routers, Juniper devices, Avaya systems, VoIP phones, and other communication hardware * Conduct network wiring and equipment repairs while adhering to safety standards involving AC/DC electrical systems and power tools * Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients about system setup, maintenance needs, and troubleshooting steps *Requirements* * Proven experience in structured cabling installation with knowledge of Ethernet wiring standards (Cat5, Cat6) and fiber optic systems * Familiarity with telecommunications testing equipment including cable testers, RF testers, ohmmeters, and diagnostic tools * Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams related to network wiring and telecommunication systems * Hands-on experience with installing telephony systems such as VoIP solutions or traditional telephony setups like Avaya * Strong understanding of computer networking concepts including LAN setup, network installation, Cisco routers, Juniper devices, and network cabling practices * Skilled in using hand tools (crimpers, wire strippers), power tools, and specialized equipment for cable termination and equipment repair * Knowledge of low-voltage electrical wiring techniques involving AC/DC systems for telecommunications infrastructure * Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues quickly using diagnostic tools; experience with radio frequency (RF) testing is a plus * Commitment to safety standards in electrical work environments; ability to work at heights or in confined spaces as needed Join us if you’re passionate about creating robust communication networks!
