his role supports the U.S. Air Force Cloud One Architecture and Common Shared Services contract and currently has an opening for a Technical Writer.Location This position will be hybrid remote. Candidates will be required to work onsite as needed. Preferred candidates will be located near Hanscom AFB (Boston, MA).Responsibilities Prepare, author, edit, and proof technical documents and program deliverables (e.g., system manuals, user guides, training materials, installation guides, proposals, reports) in accordance with the SOW and CDRLsEnsure all documents conform to program standards, Data Item Description (DID) requirements, and applicable templatesCreate and maintain document templates using styles and formats in MS WordWork closely with engineers, developers, testers, Release Train Engineers, users, and other stakeholders to gather requirements, define content, and capture data and media for documentationPerform quality assurance reviews on all contractual documentation and deliverables, ensuring comments and customer feedback are fully addressedFormat, review, and submit contract deliverables and reports, ensuring proper configuration management (CM) and version control in coordination with Data Management staffOversee the collection, organization, editing, and revision of documentation supporting complex computer systems and networksApply and help guide implementation of CMMI Maturity Level 3 best practices for documentation and qualityManage multiple documentation efforts simultaneously with strong attention to detail, quality, and on-time task completionRequirements Bachelor's Degree in a Technical, Writing, or related discipline and at least 8 years of relevant experience. Additional experience may be substituted for a degreeAdditional experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.Active Secret clearance requiredUS citizenship requiredBachelor's Degree in a Technical, Writing, or related discipline and at least 8 years of relevant experience. Additional experience may be substituted for a degreeMust have at least 5 years of experience as a full time dedicated Technical Writer on a large, complex technical program, creating, editing, and producing extensive documents, reports, CDRLs, and briefings for diverse audiences, including senior leadershipMust have expert-level proficiency with advanced MS Word formatting and editing features, with extensive experience developing, managing, and refining large, complex technical documents and publicationsMust have direct experience working with system engineers, software engineers, and program management to translate technical information into clear, concise documentation including user manuals and reportsMust demonstrate excellent grammar skills (including punctuation, spelling, and usage)Must be an exceptional communicator, both verbally and in writing, able to convey information clearly and concisely, build rapport effectively, and understand, interpret, and explain highly technical concepts to diverse audiencesMust have experience planning, prioritizing, and managing multiple tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environmentMust be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPointMust be capable of performing high-quality work both individually and as part of a teamMust be a self-motivated problem solver who proactively takes initiative when issues arisePreferred Qualifications Master's Degree in a Technical, Writing, or related disciplineExperience working on or with multi-disciplinary technical development teamsExperience working on an agile program and teamExtensive experience on a system/software development program compiling, editing, and publishing documentationSound understanding of CMMI best practices and agile methodologiesBenefits MedicalDentalVisionAD&DSTDLTDCompany paid Life Insurance401k with employer contributionPaid Time OffPet Insurance#J-18808-Ljbffr
