Position requires availability Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with additional hours as needed. SUMMARY: The WACO Senior Closing Agent is responsible for understanding and satisfying complex title requirements and possesses a detailed knowledge of the closing process with a broad base of resources to support and/or supervise a closing team. This position will maintain a closing pipeline and is expected to follow ALTA’s Best Practices when processing and closing transactions to protect WACO and ensure the company’s assets are safeguarded. The incumbent is to provide exemplary customer service and be consistently available to meet with clients and associates as needed to ensure the same. The incumbent will also serve as a resource to REALTORS® and lenders. The Senior Closing Agent will actively work with their manager, Business Development Representative or Sales Team to formulate a proactive and disciplined approach to customer retention and generating growth.We are seeking candidates who embrace diversity, equity and inclusion in a workplace where everyone feels valued and inspired. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Serve as a file expert by identifying and determining what requirements must be met before closing by analyzing title insurance commitments, real estate contracts and/ or lender requirements. Facilitate closing transactions by explaining the documents to customers and obtaining required signatures necessary for issuing a Title Insurance Policy and recording within respective counties. Prepare the more complex Settlement Statements for closings including collaboration with the lender of the Closing Disclosure for final balancing of the file. These include complex purchases and refinances involving multiple units purchases, commercial owned investment property, LLC, Trust owned as well as 1031 exchange requiring in depth knowledge in complex title transactions. Distribute settlement statements to all parties involved with the transaction . Facilitate and lead training sessions for closing agents, realtors and lenders. Serve as a resource and closing file expert to REALTORS®, buyers/sellers, lenders, builders, and other customers regarding closing procedures or complex title requirements. Maintain and expand existing business relationships with current customers and develop new business relationships within the community. Provide guidance to Closing Agents with difficult customer inquiries or problems and to ensure quality, review Closing Agent work as necessary. Conduct and assist in the training and onboarding of closing associates and new associates in the closing department. Work closely with the Regional Sales Manager, Regional Operations Manager, Closing Manager, and/or other departments to resolve problems, issues or customer complaints. Forward a copy of all written complaints to the immediate supervisor. Ensure Sales Contracts and Lender Orders are executed accurately and in a timely manner. Demonstrate strategic internal partnerships by active participation in joint calls with other associates, including Closing Managers, Peer Group Managers / Supervisors and other members of leadership, as appropriate. Foster teamwork and closing knowledge in all assigned branches to ensure a positive customer experience. Keep current with industry issues and regulations and maintain a thorough understanding of the job related duties. Promote WACO generally in the public, by participating, preparing, or presenting or in seminars or information presentations for REALTORS®, builders, etc., and in area community programs, business groups and charitable organizations. Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program, as applicable to your job duties. This includes but is not limited to: complete compliance training and adhere to internal procedures and controls; report any known violations of compliance policy, laws, or regulations and report any suspicious customer and/or account activity.Team AccountabilitiesSupport and uphold the Arvest Mission Statement.Uphold the Arvest Code of Ethics and ensure that confidential information is safeguarded.Maintain a high level of cooperation and rapport with all associates in order to ensure accurate and efficient operations and service.Formulate and communicate new ideas and suggestions that will improve profitability and efficiency for the company’s overall operation.Foster and promote the proper company image at all times.Maintain involvement in community affairs to foster and promote the proper bank image at all times.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:May directly supervise 1 or more associates as assigned by the manager. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Ensure direct reports have completed required compliance training and are adhering to all internal procedures and controls as it relates to bank policy, laws, regulations and Arvest’s BSA/AML Program. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, appraising performance, rewarding, and disciplining associates. The incumbent has the authority and the appropriate influence to make recommendations regarding hiring, firing, advancement, promotion, or any other change of status of other associates within the guidelines of the bank’s procedures and guidelines for such change of status events. The incumbent provides training, planning, assigning, and directing work assignments and schedules; addressing complaints and resolving problems.Responsibilities: QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Associates degree in a related field or equivalent military or professional work experience required. Relevant military experience is considered for veterans and transitioning service members.4 years previous related experience with emphasis in closing services required.2 years previous closing processor or equivalent related experience required.Licensed Notary Public required.Licensed Title Agent (or ability to obtain within one year) required.Proven ability to develop and build Closing and Sales Pipeline required.Advanced knowledge of Commitment Requirements and Exceptions required.Exceptional consultative skills preferred: ability to probe, listen, clarify, and present information to advance sales transactions.Leadership experience preferred.Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred.
