Human Resources Director
LaSalle Network is seeking a Human Resources Director to drive key HR functions across a local non-profit organization, based in downtown Chicago.This role will play a critical part in oversight of talent acquisition, employee relations, talent management, benefits and the day-to-day HR operations, ensuring a positive employee experience and advancing the organization’s overall people strategy.Human Resources Director ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement HR strategies aligned with organizational goals and missionPartner with executive leadership to support workforce planning and organizational developmentServe as a trusted advisor on employee relations, performance management, and people-related decisionsBuild and foster a culture rooted in equity, inclusion, and engagementOversee full-cycle recruitment strategy and execution, in partnership with hiring managers and HR GeneralistEnsure effective hiring processes that prioritize quality, efficiency, and diversityDevelop employer branding and talent pipeline strategiesDesign and oversee onboarding programs to ensure a strong start and long-term employee successLead initiatives to improve employee engagement, retention, and overall experienceSupport performance management processes, including reviews and goal-settingEnsure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and nonprofit regulationsOversee HR policies, procedures, and documentation, ensuring they are current and consistently appliedManage audits, reporting, and risk mitigation strategies Manage benefits administration strategy and vendor relationshipsStreamline and improve HR processes for efficiency and scalabilityDirectly manage, mentor, and develop the HR GeneralistDelegate and prioritize work effectively while maintaining visibility into day-to-day HR operationsFoster a collaborative and high-performing HR functionHuman Resources Director QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)7–10+ years of progressive HR experience, including leadership or management experienceStrong background in talent acquisition, HR operations, and complianceExperience working in a nonprofit or mission-driven organization preferredDemonstrated ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on executionStrong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practicesExcellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skillsHigh level of integrity and ability to handle confidential informationPay: $50-63/hrLocation: Downtown Chicago, Hybrid, 4 days on-site + 1 day remoteEmployment type: Contract-To-HireBenefits: LaSalle Network Consultants are eligible for LaSalle Benefits including dental, vision, and medical.If you are interested and available immediately for this opportunity, apply today!Rachel HolmesPrincipal, LaSalle NetworkLaSalle Network is an Equal Opportunity Employer m/f/d/v.
