Assistant Manager- HospitalityThe Assistant Manager- Hospitality at the Residence Inn supports the General Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and contributing to the overall success of the hospitality establishment. This role involves direct involvement in operational tasks, team supervision, and maintaining high standards of service.Job Responsibilities:Assist the General Manager in planning, organizing, and directing all aspects of the hospitality operation, including front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, and maintenance departments.Supervise, train, and motivate a team of hospitality staff, ensuring adherence to company policies, procedures, and service standards.Oversee guest services, including check-in/check-out, resolving guest complaints, and ensuring a positive and welcoming environment.Monitor and manage inventory levels for supplies, ensuring efficient use and timely reordering.Assist with scheduling staff shifts, managing time-off requests, and ensuring adequate coverage for all operational needs.Conduct regular inspections of facilities to ensure cleanliness, safety, and adherence to brand standards.Process financial transactions, including cash handling, credit card payments, and daily reconciliation reports.Support the implementation of marketing and promotional activities to attract and retain guests.Respond to and resolve guest inquiries and issues in a timely and professional manner.Assist in maintaining accurate records and reports related to operations, finances, and human resources.Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including health and safety guidelines.Job Qualifications:Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a guest-facing hotel role (ex. front desk)Proven ability to lead, train, and motivate a team.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.Strong customer service orientation with a proactive approach to guest satisfaction.Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods.The list of Principal Duties, Essential Functions, and Basic Qualifications is illustrative but not exhaustive.
