J.J. Nichting is looking for a proven Diesel Technician who knows their way around ag equipment and takes pride in keeping farmers moving when it matters most. What You’ll Do
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair diesel engines on agricultural equipment
Work on tractors, combines, harvesters, sprayers, loaders, and irrigation engines
Perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime during peak seasons
Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, fuel, and drivetrain systems
Use modern diagnostic tools and computerized engine software
Communicate clearly with customers and supervisors about repairs and timelines
Step up during planting and harvest when farmers need us most
Requirements:
What We’re Looking For
High school diploma or GED
3+ years of hands-on diesel experience, or diesel degree plus field experience
Technical training in diesel technology, agricultural mechanics or heavy equipment repair
Confident working independently and solving problems in the shop and field
Ability to read schematics, manuals, and service information
Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus)
