We take an interdisciplinary approach; many of our attorneys carry both legal and accounting credentials, which allows us to deliver integrated, strategic counsel that goes beyond traditional legal advice.POSITION SUMMARYWe are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Tax Attorney to join our growing practice. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise across federal and state tax law, estate planning strategy, and wealth preservation, with the ability to advise a diverse client base ranging from high-net-worth individuals and families to closely held business owners. This is a client-facing role requiring exceptional analytical skills, sound judgment, and the ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly and effectively.This is not a litigation role. The work is transactional, strategic, and relationship-driven with direct client responsibility from day one.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIESProvide sophisticated legal counsel on business transactions, estate planning, and tax optimization strategies, serving as a trusted advisor to business owners and high-net-worth individuals.Draft, analyze, and revise business structuring agreements, estate plans, trust instruments, and tax-planning documents, ensuring compliance with applicable statutes and regulations.Research and interpret complex tax and estate laws to develop practical, client-centered solutions.Manage case files strategically, maintaining documentation accuracy and coordinating with legal and administrative team members.Maintain strict adherence to all applicable legal standards and professional responsibility requirements.Build and maintain strong client relationships across a nationwide client base.Collaborate with firm leadership on client strategy and firm initiatives.QUALIFICATIONS NEEDEDJuris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law schoolActive, unrestricted license to practice law in ArizonaDemonstrated experience in at least one of: tax law, business planning, or estate planningStrong analytical and legal judgment with the ability to handle complex, multi-issue matters independentlyAdvanced legal research and writing abilityExcellent interpersonal and client relations skills; able to build trust with sophisticated clientsRigorous attention to detail and strong organizational habitsCollaborative and collegial — comfortable working in a multidisciplinary team environmentAdaptable to new legal and practice management softwareStrongly PreferredExperience across all three practice areas: tax, business, and estate planningDual credentials in law and accounting (CPA, LLM in Taxation, or equivalent)Background advising business owners and high-net-worth individuals on tax and estate strategy.Experience in structuring and negotiating complex business transactions with tax implicationsWork EnvironmentLocation: On-site at Main Mesa OfficeSchedule: Full-time; standard business hours with flexibility as client matters requireTools: Regular use of legal research platforms, document management systems, and practice management software; proficiency in new tools expected and supportedE04JI800hta34096fy1
