Job Description DSP (Direct Support Professional), CaregiverJob post summaryDate posted: April 9, 2024Pay: $18 - $19 hourJob description:Direct Support Professional (DSP) / caregiver's offer support and supervision to adults living in an adult residential facility (ARF). DSP's support individuals with intellectual delays by utilizing coaching and redirection techniques. DSP's also offer assistance to residents with their activities of daily living such as, cooking, light housekeeping, laundry and personal hygiene. Our facilities typically serve higher functioning, adult males.Additional responsibilities may include: occasional transportation of residents to and from local stores, events or appointments. Preparation of meals. Light housekeeping and sanitizing of common areas. Daily documentation of observations and resident's progress.Experience as a DSP or care provider is preferred, but not mandatory. Applicants must be able to clear a criminal record background check through a Live scan service and complete a physical/TB test. Ongoing training will be provided through our corporation.Shifts are 8 hrs. and may include scheduled weekend shift(s) or scheduled overnight shifts (with paid sleep).
